TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Texarkana, Texas, 75503 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Neonatal ICU Job Specialty: ICU Neonatal Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Guaranteed Hours: Full Time Experience: Minimum 1 year in related nursing specialty preferred License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: - BLS required - STABLE certification (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) within 30 days for experienced nurses and within 4 months for new graduates - NRP certification at time of hire for experienced nurses; within 60 days for new graduates Must-Have: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred Job Description: - Practice independently in a neonatal ICU setting, providing both routine and complex care. - Address the psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. - Administer medications and treatments, monitoring side effects and effectiveness. - Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. - Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families. - Use critical thinking skills to assess patient needs. - Develop and use specific plans of care, modifying as needed using evidence-based practice. - Implement patient care and therapeutic procedures, documenting progress. - Plan for patient admission, discharge, and transfer to facilitate patient flow. - Ensure safe practice, quality care, and compliance with regulations. - Maintain proper use of medical equipment and supplies, educating patients on home equipment as needed. - Process medical orders accurately and efficiently. - Read and interpret patient charts, ensuring accuracy and completion. - Communicate effectively across the continuum of care and participate in quality improvement activities. 26078688EXPTEMP Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency PALS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam 5 Benefits of Travel Nursing Connect with healthcare professionals nationwide, expanding your professional network.
