TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in Texarkana, Texas, 75503 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: ICU Neonatal Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the related nursing specialty preferred License: RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing, preferred - Current STABLE certification (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) obtained within 30 days for experienced nurses, within 4 months for new graduates - Current NRP certification required; must obtain within 60 days for new graduates and maintain thereafter Job Description: - Practice independently and demonstrate awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. - Provide routine and complex care with an ability to focus on long-range goals or plans. - Develop ability to cope with and manage contingencies in clinical nursing. - Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed. - Meet expectations of applicable competencies for self, others, or leaders. - Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. - Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. - Administer medications and treatments, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness. - Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided. - Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and their families. - Utilize critical thinking skills for comprehensive patient assessment. - Communicate findings and collaborate effectively with healthcare team members. - Implement and evaluate patient care and progress towards treatment goals. - Plan and anticipate admission, discharge, and transfer needs to facilitate patient flow. - Direct overall nursing care during assigned shifts. - Maintain equipment and supplies efficiently. - Participate in nursing research and quality improvement activities. - Ensure compliance with healthcare-related laws and regulations. - Educate and train others in operational, ethical, and regulatory aspects of the industry. 26078687EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Core Competency PALS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
