  • 10 beds
  • 2 years of experience required
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Patient types include respiratory failure, stroke, sepsis, renal failure, diabetes, neuro patients, and surgical patients
  • Patient ratio is RN: 1:2
  • Skills required include stroke experience, ventilator management, assist with intubation/extubation, CVL management/placement, foley cath management, tube feedings via NGT or PEG
  • Traveler must pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival
  • Charge nurse will take patient assignment
  • Resource nurse available
  • RT available 24/7
  • Hospitalist in-house
  • OT, PT, ST available
  • EMR: Meditech Expanse, IV Pumps: Alaris, Medication dispensing: Pyxis
  • Floating to stepdown, stroke unit, and MedSurg may occur
  • Orientation includes 2 days hospital and 1 shift on unit
    • Job Requirements
    • BLS certification required
    • ACLS certification required
    • NIHSS certification required
    • 2 years of experience in a similar role
    • Traveler must be separated for 1 year if previously a permanent staff
      • Schedule Information
      • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
      • Work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week (mandatory)
      • May work 3/2 or 5/2 rotations
      • Time off requests: up to 7 days, must extend contract for any full week of RTO
      • Only one weekend of RTO can be requested per 13-week contract
      • No call required
      • Holiday expectations: work 2/3 major holidays

        • IV/VAT Team available for PICC/midline placement
        • RT available 24/7
