  • Beds: 24
  • Years of Experience: 1-2 years
  • Will Accept a First-time traveler: Yes
  • Travelers must be separated for 1 year if previously a perm staff
  • Must not live within a 50-mile radius of facility
  • Covid policy: vaccine required, exemption process
  • Patient Types: s/p CABG, Lung surgery (lobectomy/VATS), PCI, AICD placement, TAVR, etc.
  • Medical Stepdown overflow: Sepsis, Respiratory failure, Stroke, DKA
  • Patient Ratios: 1:3-4
    • Job Requirements
    • Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (preferred), LVAD certification (preferred)
    • Skills required: PASS an EKG competency exam, Titrating cardiac drips, managing and discontinuing Art lines, managing Temporary pacemakers, Central line management, chest tubes
      • Schedule Information
      • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
      • Will work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week - this is mandatory
      • Can we approve time off? Yes, 7 days
      • Will they be on call? No call
      • Holiday Expectations: scheduled per rotation
        • Unit Specific Information
        • 2 days of hospital orientation and 2 shifts on unit
        • Floating: possibly to 2 North (Medical Stepdown) or Medsurg (1:5-6 ratios)
